Greetings in the precious name of JESUS!

First of all, I want to thank each of you for taking time to view our church's webpage. I believe you will find it most impressive. I want to thank Sonny Bedford for his hard work in keeping this current with the latest information so that you can see happenings at Haileyville Christian Church and in our beloved communities of Haileyville and our twin city of Hartshorne.

This month's issue is basically an introductory letter on what things will be in upcoming issues. I want to hear from you, the readers of this newsletter. Some things to look forward to in upcoming issues are: a Monthly Devotion along with Verse of the Month, a Children's Section for grades K-6, a Youth Section, a Recipe of the Month from ladies (or men) of our communities (Send your recipes to: Haileyville Christian Church, P.O. Box 446, Haileyville, OK 74546), an Upcoming Events Section, and lastly, a list of Birthdays, Wedding Announcements, and Anniversaries.

In the month of August, our church had the priviledge of extending the "Right Hand of Fellowship" to Steve and Paula Keys, of McAlester. We also welcomed Thomas and Joshua Gould of Eufaula, and yours truly along with my wife Irma. On September 20th, Scotty (Son of Steve and Paula Keys was baptized).

Our scheduled services are the following:
Sunday School All-Ages - 9:45 a.m.
Morning Worship - 10:45 a.m.
Adult Bible Study on Wednesdays - 7:00 p.m.
Children & Youth Ministry led by Mrs. Cindy Bedford for grades K-12.

I had the opportunity to attend "ROCK AT THE RIVER FEST" at Fort Smith, AR and heard our local group, The Timothy Generation, and many other bands. As our kids would say today, it was "TOTALLY AWESOME!"

I look forward to your input over the coming months and will send out special newsletters when special things occur. As someone once said,"The pen is mightier than the sword".

God Bless each of you and may He give you "A peace that passes all understanding!"

Bro. Dave Gould
